Ring in 18k (750 thousandths) yellow gold, presenting in a setting of round brilliant-cut diamonds (approx. 1.20 ct.) a very beautiful heated natural blue sapphire with fingerprint inclusions, crystals surrounded by clouds, rutile needles. A very luminous royal blue, this sapphire weighs approx. 2 ct. One of the diamonds has received a blow with removal of material.

18k (750 thousandths) yellow gold brooch featuring a beautiful scroll in smooth and brushed gold, giving a beautiful effect of volume highlighted by a line of 8x8-cut diamonds and a 7.8 mm round white cultured pearl. The work is signed with the goldsmith's hallmark of Angeline Louise Vaerewijck, widow of the silversmith J. Brahms, active in Antwerp. Made in the early 1940s.

Angeline Louise Vaerewijck Vve J. Brahm, Antwerp, active between April 8, 1942 and 1944. The year 1942 may not be the year in which she was first registered, but only the year in which she was registered with the Royal Mint of Belgium. Indeed, from January 1, 1942, it was compulsory to guarantee the alloy used, which had to be indicated by the hallmark of the manufacturer or the person who took legal responsibility for the titling of the jewel.

"Caelest" ring in 18k (750 thousandths) yellow gold set with a ruby and a sapphire.

If we were content with this brief description, we'd be missing out on an extraordinary jewel full of surprises! This ring is not a simple ring, it's a multiple ring that moves, transforms, according to a tradition well known to 17th-century astronomers who couldn't do without their armillary sphere, showing the movement of the stars and the sun around the earth. There are several rings. The central one reveals a Latin inscription:
"Lucem Vitae A Caelousque ad centrum Os meum es Universe". If this text is hermetic to some, here's what it means: "Light of my life, From Heaven to the Center, You are my Universe". From the scientific message, we move on to the message of love, for the loved one and also for the most fundamental principles of Nature. It's no longer the earth at the center of the armillary, it's love at the center of a wedding ring! Two other perfectly interlocking rings, striated like a metric system, emerge! These two identical yet different rings refer to the couple. And it doesn't stop there... The outermost, meticulously engraved ring opens in two in the shape of a cross, the indestructible link that leads to union each time the ring closes.

Flame-shaped brooch in brushed 18k (750 thousandths) white gold, giving an amatized side that contrasts perfectly with several diamonds, including a well-cut main diamond of approx. 2.2 ct. old European cut, SI clarity, L-M color. Four other diamonds follow the curve, two of approx. 0.30 ct. and two of approx. 0.35 ct. each, for a total of approx. 3.5 ct. on the brooch. Unsigned, but high jewelry quality!

1950s fringe bracelet in 18k (750 thousandths) white gold. The mesh is Haute Joaillerie quality, yet this jewel bears no hallmark, while the finish of the clasp is simply remarkable, with nearly 1.10 ct. of diamonds! Putting on this bracelet is a two-step process: insert the clasp into the slot and fold back the diamond-covered part. The great advantage is that you can put it on yourself and take it off just as easily. Delivered in a Wolfers case.
